Chena Hot Springs Resort & Aurora

The Ultimate Chena Hot Springs Experience:

Two person minimum. Pickup at your location by 5pm and head to Chena Hot Springs. Once at the resort, your tour guide will direct you to the activity center to hand out your ice museum tickets and hot springs passes. The last ice museum tour is at 7pm. Your guide will be by your side as there may be a lot of people. Check out the ice carvings and purchase a appletinni in an ice glass. The Ice Museum tour is about 45 minutes. After the museum, head over to the 104 degree hot springs and soak up until 11:45pm. Bring your towel and sandals! While you soak, your guide heads over to the activity center and starts monitoring the Aurora activity and the weather. While you enjoy the hot springs, if Aurora is spotted, your guide will inform you and you can head out to the vehicle – Enjoy the show! Your guide will visit the most weather appropriate viewing spots. If there is bad weather, we may leave earlier to see if there are any openings on the way back to Fairbanks.

Aurora Viewing or Chase

View the Aurora in Comfort and Style:

Two person minimum. Pick up at local hotel around 10pm or as Aurora comes out. If you opt for a chase, we search for the best spots to view and enjoy. If a viewing, we go to locations specifically selected for the best chance to see the Aurora.

*The Aurora is Natural. There is no guarantee it will show or when it will start. The aurora may be bright, may be gray and weak, or may not show up at all. Then our earth weather plays a roll on whether we have a chance to see the Aurora. **Guests are paying for the effort. There are no discounts or money back guarantees if guests don’t see the Aurora. Tours on average are from 10p-3a. The tour can be extended if an Aurora show is happening

Cafego's Aurora Viewing

We have one of the most unique Aurora Borealis Viewing Spots in the Fairbanks Area! We pick you up at your Fairbanks hotel and bring you to Cafego’s Aurora View Farms. Free guest pickup from 9:30pm to 10:15pm or at a pre-arranged time. Located outside Fairbanks and away from the city, open areas mixed with well-placed trees give a great view and backdrop to see the lights .

As a guest at Cafego’s, where we always focus on small group tours, you can stay warm in our B&B and step outside to watch the lights when you want. Have a drink by the fire? Cheese tray or light snacks? Pure comfort and a feeing of home is what we offer. When the lights come out, get outside and enjoy the show!
